I got my degree in Brazil (UFABC), and during graduation, I had the opportunity to improve my scientific skills at the John B. Pierce Laboratory (Yale, USA). Over the years, I have discovered a great interest in behavioral inhibition (or rather the lack of it). I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at UNIFESP, and the objective of my work is to understand how alcohol exposure can interfere with the ability to stop this drug consumption in situations that imply aversive consequences. My routine includes neuroanatomy experiments, cellular electrophysiology, and behavior analysis.

Me formei no Brasil (UFABC) e, durante a pós-graduação, tive a oportunidade de aprimorar minhas habilidades científicas no John B. Pierce Laboratory (Yale, EUA). Ao longo destes anos, descobri um interesse especial pela inibição comportamental (ou melhor, a falta dela). Atualmente, sou pós-doutoranda na UNIFESP e o objetivo do meu trabalho é entender como a exposição ao álcool pode interferir na capacidade de frear o consumo desta droga em situações que envolvam consequências aversivas. Minha rotina inclui experimentos de neuroanatomia, eletrofisiologia celular e análise de comportamentos.
